Vega is consistently launching eye catching models and the same can be said about the Vega off-road.

The helmet shell is made from ABS plastic, strong enough to prevent injuries in a crash. Small bits of plastics improve the visual appeal of the helmet, however the quality is not the best available in the market.

Just like any other off-road helmet the Vega off-road comes with a sun peak. The positive side being is provides good shade while riding, however on the downside causes stability issues at high speed due to wind resistance. Vega has provided air scoops to keep the helmet stable, however it does not eliminate the issue. Fortunately it is held in place with three screws and can be removed if not required.

Coming to the quality of the lid, its not one of the best we have seen. Unlike the Axor series Vega has cut corners on the finish of this helmet. You can find the uneven finish on the sun peak and the rubber linings.

The helmet has adequate ventilation with three fixed vent on the front and three on the rear. This helps in optimum airflow and keeps the head cool on those hot summer days.

The off-road was initially launched without a visor and a second model with a built in goggle. Vega has recently launched the off-road with the visor and a second model with visor and built in goggles.

We were disappointed with the fact that Vega has not provided quick release mechanism for visor on the off-road and hence one will require a screw driver in order to swap the visor.
The visor provided by default is a clear one, however Vega does provide optional visors in Rainbow ,Mercury and Smoke.

On the inside the foam padding seems to be adequate and the helmet feels a bit roomy owing to the off-road design. People using a regular full face helmet may take a while to adapt to the off-road design. The interior is detachable and washable which will help in keeping the interiors fresh.
The chinstrap on the off-road is the regular quick release seat-belt type found on all the Vega Models.

The lid is ISI certified and the ISI mark can be found on the rear of the helmet.

The off-road is available in both solid colours (White, Black, Dull Black, Blue, Dull Blue, Red, Dull Red, Cherry Red, Burgundy, Dull Burgundy, Anthracite, Dull Anthracite, Silver, Yellow) and graphics.

Affordability : Coming to the part which is the most important for all riders. The off-road has different variants priced as follows.
Solid Colour with/without Visor - Rs. 1565/-
Solid Colour with/without Visor with built in goggles - Rs. 1790/-
Graphics with/without Visor - Rs. 1790/-
Graphics with/without Visor with built in goggles - Rs. 2060/-

Final Verdict :

The off-road is the best when it comes to styling as it is available in a variety of colours which will help you to match your bike irrespective of the make and model. It is good for riding in city traffic, however it's not the best lid to opt for if you ride on the highways or above 80 kmph. So if you have a budget between 1.5k to 2k and want to buy something trendy, the Vega off-road might be the lid for you.
